12 Ways Single-Mothers Can make Extra Cash

I believe we can all agree that Single-Parenting is not an easy task. Expenses add up and pile up every day and money gets tighter and tighter. What can you do? What are your options? Do you need another job?

You can even make some money from home!

Fret not! I have compiled a list of money making opportunities you can do without pulling another 9-5 job. Now, will these give you a full-time salary? No, but a little extra cash in your pocket doesn’t hurt anybody. Now let’s get your hustle on Mama.

http://PET Sitting: pet sitting is an easy task for you to try. You literally just watch peoples pets for however long they need. Put up an ad or search for those looking for pet sitters!

  1. Sell items on eBay: eBay is easy and free to sign up. Get rid of those items that you no longer need! Old video games, TVs, books clothing… Anything! Ones man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
  2. Open a shop on Etsy: do you have a crafty talent? Well girl, make some money off doing what you love! It can be knitted scarves, customized clothing, cards, really anything cute and crafty sells on Etsy. Browse the sight to get some ideas of what you may be interested in doing.
  3. House sitting: For those families/couples/individuals that go on long trips, they often look for someone to stay in their house and watch things. Could make great cash from that and if it’s a super nice house, you get to play pretend {LOL} can’t beat that.
  4. Cleaning apartments: A lot of people move around cleaning can be a hassle, so they hire people. Craigslist has a lot of cleaning gigs you can check out. The bigger the place, the more you charge(Make sure to be safe)
  5. Swagbucks: Swagbucks is a site where do survey and earn points that can go towards gift cards and money. The more surveys you take, the more money you can ear. There are even options to watch videos for points. Easy peasy!
  6. Ebates: Ebates is one of those sites that pay you to shop. Buy the stuff you usually get online and they will give you cash back! It’s a win-win situation.
  7. Clinical trials: there are facilities and hospitals that look for volunteers to do different testing. Sometimes it’s a group project, they may just want to draw blood or a do a long-term test on you. You can choose whatever you’re comfortable with. Always make sure to read the disclaimers before you join any testing. They pay money or through gift cards. Check your local areas for those programs!
  8. Paidviewpoint: Paidviewpoint is another survey website that allows you to earn points and earn money once you reach a certain amount. The con about this website is that you have to wait until they find a survey for you to do.
  9. Ibotta: Ibotta is a shopping app that gives you cash back when you go grocery shopping. They have offers on items you may get every day. When you buy these items just take a picture of your receipt and there you go! keep doing this and you get a $10 welcome bonus to start off!
  10. Shopular: Shopular is another shopping app that gives you cash back when you go online shopping through them. What I like about this app is that it also shows you in-store coupons. I always this app when I’m at the mall to see if there are any deals going on.
  11. Create a blog: people have quit their job and have made a whole living off of blogging! I’m still new and on my way of accomplishing that for myself. But the testimonials are all over to read. Blogging gives you the flexibility you need and it’s a great way to promote yourself and or your brand! start off with a self-hosting site from the bat though because I heard that transferring your blog can be a very difficult task

Have you tried any of these ways to make some cash? how was it? If you have any more suggestions, make sure you comment them below!

Peace, Love & Melanin
