Open letter to my hurt self.

Dear ME,

Hey baby girl, how are you doing? I want you to take some time to read this letter to yourself whenever you are feeling at your lowest and need some reassurance.

I know you are going through some hardships but you will get through it. You have made it through worse and you are just fine. Keep your head up and keep on going. Not only for you but for your son, who depends on you. You are so strong! You got this! People come and go all the time in everyone’s life. Continue to grow your confidence and love yourself. No one else will have you like you got you! Try not to hold on to hate in your heart. Forgive and forget the people who have caused hurt to you.

It is okay to feel hurt and betrayed. You are human and are allowed to have all these feelings. Cry it out, scream and cry again. Get it all out, mourn the disappointment and go back to loving life. Yes, start loving your life. You need to start loving everything about you….Leave the suicidal thoughts out and think about all the good. You have a purpose, I’m not sure what it is yet but it will come to you. Believe it or not, there are people who love you. Eliaz needs his mother. You are a great mother no matter what others may say. Your baby is growing, healthy, and always smiling. You are doing a good job and he needs you in his life.

All your hard work will prevail. All those lonely nights crying will not be for nothing. One day you will look back and be so proud of where you came from.  Do you have any idea how fabulous you are? Anybody who knows you is lucky to know such a great person. You put others first before yourself, you are loving, funny, dependable and much more. Sometimes you make mistakes and that is all good. Mistakes teach lessons that you need to learn so don’t ever regret anything. Do not stay down when you you’ve been pushed down. Get up! Get up! Get up Girl! Your future awaits you and you can’t go to it being down on yourself all the time. Claim this Victory and get your reward baby!! Better days are coming! Happiness is coming and Love is all coming your way. STOP STRESSING over things that you have no control over. Just let it be and keep going. Take everything a day at a time.

Take care of yourself. Take care of your son. Drink more water. Get this money. Exercise more. Stay Focused. Grow your hair out. Love yourself. Meditate more. Work on your dreams. Do you.

Peace, Love & Melanin

Xoxo, The Brown Mom

Lady, I love it! We all have these days weeks and sometimes months. By I’m so proud of you to be able to stay alive! Your son will never know the doubt that you fear, only the love that you provide! Life is not about loving just one person or having just one person love you, its about loving everyone that you can and making an influence for the better for everyone you come into contact with. You sound like a hell of a mom and a great lady! Have a wonderful weekend you two! You deserve it!
